The festivities started on the 3rd at my Aunt and Uncle's house in Bountiful. We had a b-b que and enjoyed watching Brooklyn say, "Oh Canada!!"
Can you tell i dressed Brooklyn? ha!
On the 4th, i went up to Huntsville with Brett and Steph. It started early with a pancake breakfast, and parade. The parade reminded me of the Raymond parade in Canada. Lots of tractors and little kids riding their decorated bikes! It was great!
I wish i would have taken a picture of Jayla's toes. Steph painted them red. It was adorable.
After the events in Huntsville, we went up to my sister in law's (Steph) cabin in Ogden Canyon for another b-b que. She has a river that runs through the back that people float down. It was freezing, but lots of fun. Her niece Aspen and I went down together. Halfway down she said she was tired of all the "waves!" Ha!
This year, America won. It was a great holiday, one that i usually take lightly. I am glad to be in America where i have lots of family to spend time with. But next year, America will get a run for its money when hopefully, we are back up in Canada for the 1st!

You are hilarious! I think one of the only posts that is sweet, but has no sugar and is low fat is my very last post, the smoothie. Only fruit, Milk(I use skim), and fat free yogurt, so healthy and yummy.
GO AMERICA!!!!! We are glad you could come and spend the 3rd with us. We had a great time. Love you - Aub
I'm not even going to get into the whole America vs. Canada thing with you, however, I will tell you are seriously looking amazing. Holy crap Jess, you have lost a lot of weight and are looking incredible. Give me some tips on how to achieve your look (that don't include running 26.2 miles)
You're such a nut! Actually there is a single guy in his program if you're into 40 year old, balding, 250 lb. men!! Your neice (Jayla, not Hadley) is so precious!
Hey, Jess. Thanks for the update, nice to see what's going on. We missed you on the first. You'll always be true to Canada but America is great too, that is where most of your family are, love ya, Gma

Be careful floating the river. J/K I love that river. Maybe I should stick to it.
I love America! Glad your here though! I am good...you? Life is just crazy and fun and I am having a hard time making internet time maybe in the winter...
That sounds fun! I love the huntsville parade! I've rafted the Ogden river and for as mild as it is...it was horrible. Dan forced me to do it and to bring my little baby and 3 year old. They screamed hysterically the whole way.
