I am so excited to say that i am finally an Aunt! My brother Brett and Sister in law Steph gave birth to Jayla LeAnn Kearns today! She weighs 8lbs 50z and is 20 inches long. Steph did great. She went in to the hospital at 1:00pm and had Jayla at 5:55pm. We were all surprised at how fast everything happened! It was great, because we could hardly wait!!
I was especially excited she came today! At their last appointment (Thursday), the Dr thought maybe this next Saturday or Sunday. On Friday i am leaving for Portland for my marathon, so i was crossing my fingers she would have Jayla before i left so i would be able to be there when she was born. So way to go Jayla!
Not my favourite picture of myself, you better believe i will be getting another one tomorrow! I have to look cute with my new niece! I can't wait for all the fun things i will get to do with her!!
The proud Dad! Brett also did great! He is not a big hospital fan, and had to fight off passing out several times, but made it through without any problems!

I am so happy for your whole family. Being an aunt is awesome! You will be great! I'm so sad I didn't get to see her at the hospital but maybe I will get to see her soon (after we have had some showers)! hee hee

oh hooray! Nothing's better than nieces and nephews. You will have so much fun with her. She is so adorable. Good luck on the marathon. I can't wait to see pictures.
