6 weeks and counting........

Life is busy.... 6 more weeks till my marathon and i feel like i will be able to sleep. Training has never been better, i am amazed as each week passes, how much better i feel running, the distance i can endure gets longer, and recovery from those long runs gets shorter! It really does pay off!!

I am reading a book called, "The Quotable Runner," it is a bunch of quotes from all sorts of runners, professional and amateurs. My motivational quote for the week is:

" Running is a big question mark that's there each and every day. It asks you, Are you going to be a wimp or are you going to be strong today?"

Last Saturday, i ran 17 miles. The farthest Eric is going to have me run is 22, so look at that... I am not too far off. What is even better is the excitement i felt that 9.2 more past the 17 equals the marathon. I am in awe that i have made it this far!

Saturday, I am running the Salt Lake City half marathon, which i am very excited for. I have ran 13 and more several times now, but this is my first half marathon race. So i will receive my first finishers medal. Yup, that medal makes me excited! :) So i will post pictures later!

Anything that has to do with running i am reading and watching. I found this video on you tube and laughed out loud. I have felt this, but i am sure i will feel it ten fold in 6 weeks! Ha!!

I am so proud of you! I really want to run a marathon if I can ever get my body working right. I am seeing a Chiropractor for my sciatica and I haven't been able to run at all for about 2 weeks. It is slowly feeling better but still sucks. I'm so sorry if that's what you have. My running was making it way worse so I have to switch to some different exercise for a while. Maybe it's time to get back to swimming...

I can't believe how awesome you are doing! I'm super jealous.

And...how the heck to you put a You Tube video on your blog? I was trying to do it last night and couldn't figure it out...am I an idiot?

That commercial is funny, I like the bleeding nipples in the end. Jess, every time I go swimming I think about how much I need your training tips. Since the mini triathalon is only 6 laps i think I can totally fake it, but if I ever plan on going further, I might have to hire your expertise.
