So, i am past the stage where all my friends get married, and have entered the baby stage. Don't take this wrong, i am very excited for each one of you, but once again, very jealous! Where is my man?
Yesterday i spent the day with my cousin Jenna, who is also pregnant and she was telling me about the swinging necklace test. Her friend did this to her. Not only does it tell you the sex of your baby, but it also tells you how many kids you will have. She has 2 boys, which made the necklace back and forth, and per the necklace this will be her last child and a boy as well.
I was excited to get a necklace, put my ring on it and test it out for myself. I was for sure it would raise above my palm and hold still, but it began to away back and forth, 1st child a boy. Second sway turned into a circle, 2nd child a girl. Then nothing. So two kids seem to be in my future.
Now, Jenna did this to her husband, and it did the same thing. Three boys, then nothing. So i have learned something new. Now on my dates, i am going to whip out the necklace. If the necklace does not sway boy then girl, i will know he is not the one and i can move on! ha!
This was great news for me, and as lame as it sounds, brought a little tear to my eye because i really look forward to being a mom one day!! So, i put up my own transparent belly to be due in 2011. So get out there people, use the necklace test and find me a man!

Your so funny. I totally know how you feel. My friends starting getting married and having babies when I was 15... I know the test your talking about but I've always used a pencil with a string on the end and called it the "pencil test". Same concept though. I'm hoping mines wrong though. Its always said two girls and I want a boy first :o) Did you get my picture text yet?????
hahaha, I did this little test when I was 12. I'd totally forgotten about it though, I should try it out and see if Taylor will ever let me have kids.
I totally forgot about this test. I've never done it though, I think I shall. I know that you are going to be THE CUTEST mom ever. It will happen. I can't wait to see your dates faces when you whip out the necklace...lol. Love you,
Krissy
Hey Jess,
I just happened to come across your blog and couldn't resist saying hi. I can't beleive that we have been out of school for almost three years. You look great though and it was fun to read up on what you are up to.
Ashlee (Reeder) Ward
Hmm a boy then a girl? Sounds familiar! I know a couple you can have if you want!!
Shanna, you do not want boys! Come on!! :)
Crystal, have you done the test yet??? Do it on Taylor too!
Krissy, Thanks- the same for you!! :) Love you!!
Ashlee, yeah! You are back! Katie started to blog again too! It is about time you gals!! :)
Lashonda, i miss you! Glad you finally have a blog!!
Hahaha! So funny! I can't believe you hadn't ever heard of this! I have had it done to me 4 times and EVERY time was the same! Boy, girl, then boy/girl twins! Eeek! I have the boy AND the girl. Maybe we should be done! Actually, I have always wanted four kids, so two in one shot might be nice. I would just be totally psycho for the next 5+ years!
If you ever see Tiff (Zimmerman), she has a seriously steady hand, so she does it really well. She did two of mine (years apart so she forgot what they were) and it was the same!
My husband thinks it is silly voodoo. I think he is losing on this one!
I had to check for the little floating babies, that is so funny. My mother in law did this test, yet I can't remember all it said cause it kept going and going.
I was so glad you commented back. I didn't know if you would. I am currently not working although I would love to down here. I can just see the festering gums when I talk to the locals. I think their dentistry consists mainly of extractions. I am going to try and work although it is very difficult to get a work permit through the government and very expensive. So we will see. As for now I am just enjoying the sandy beaches and the warm sun. I am going to add you to my page so I can keep in touch. Have fun!
I'm so glad the test gave you hope, it put me into a deep depression...3 boys and that's it, what the heck! Thank you for spending the day with us, I bet you slept great :) Love you!
You will be a great mom Jess, I'll keep my eyes...and necklace out for a nice dental catch out here.
Hi Jessica! My friend told me about this a while ago...and I've tested on all the aunties that I've known (including my mom) and is true!!!!!
