I had a patient this week that just got back from a 9 month deployment in Iraq. I asked him about Iraq, their teeth and if you can buy floss there (ha! I new he had not been flossing!!) and the thing he decides to tell me about was the camel spider. Here is the picture. Don't worry they live in the middle east. They are about as big as a dinner plate and can jump approximately three feet and run as fast as 10 miles an hour.
And....this is a picture of one of the troops who got bit by one at night. They actually eat flesh.....
And if you thought it could not get worse, here is a video that some troops put together in Iraq.
And on that note.....That is why i will never become an American. Canadians, we don't fight, we get along with everybody. So if i stay Canadian, then i will never have the chance to be deployed to the middle east. So i dedicate this post to Rick, for reiterating what i have always believed. CANADA ROCKS!!

Don't Canadians play hockey? Don't hockey players fight? That said, THAT IS THE NASTIEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!! I am going to have to tell everyone I know to come visit your site to see this!!!!!!!!! What? My whole body feels like it is covered in spiders!!!! Get them off!!!
Ok, well we fight with only hockey players. I know, i can't get the spiders off me. I know i will be dreaming about a big spider chasing after me tonight. 10 miles an hour, that is pretty darn fast.

As a canadian living in America, i would feel bad if i did not fill you all in on what really is the major threat in Iraq. I would take a nuclear bomb anyday over this spider chasing me down, jumping onto my shoulder and eating my flesh.

It's totally possible that Kjersten has shown us worse, but after Mike saw your site, he spent the next 2 hours on Youtube watching videos of people who were putting the camel spider into a pit with scorpions etc. and watching them fight to the death. You started something horrible!!! Proof that Canadians hate Americans right there! (hehehe)
Too funny! Were they big scorpions? After seeing Arachnaphobia, i am surprised that none of the camel spiders have caught a flight in someones bag back to the states. Everyone wants to be in the US....even canadians! :)
YES THEY WERE! And huge centipedes and crap. So scary! Also, I'm positive somebody's sneaked/inadvertently brought back a camel spider to the US. Seriously. Holy, I'm so freaked out!
So nasty! Oh and turns out...you ARE an american...deal with it :0P At least you didn't have to con someone into marrying you in Vegas to become legal....argh!
