Happy Mother's Day!!

Two weekends ago, my mom came to Boise to visit. It was alot of fun. She really is my best friend. I really like Boise and am having a great time here, but it always makes me a little homesick when i have family come and visit or i go home for a weekend. My mom and i had a great time. She is loving having a "grandog!" Daisy just loved her. Mom always finds the most annoying squeaky toys and they always end up being daisy's favourite toys. She spoils her.
The weekend mom was her the 8th street market opened. It is downtown and they close down all of 8th street and it is filled with all sorts of booths. Everything from fresh fruit and elk sausages to rum (and i mean rum) cakes, jewelry and fresh cut flowers. It is the highlight of my Saturdays. Everyone brings there dogs and it is just a good time.

On the way to the 8th street market, Mom and i stopped at Jack in the Box for a quick breakfast sandwich to hold us over. At the window of the drive threw, they say Daisy and asked if she would like a treat. They had a big bin full of dog treats. I love how this city caters to dogs.

As it is mother's day weekend, i have to be grateful that my mom is still around. Few years back we almost lost her and didn't know if she would live through the night. Life comes and goes quick. I have lost alot of loved ones and am just so thankful that one of them was not my mom. She is my number one supporter and i would not be the person i am today without her love, compassion, and example. Another reason mother's day is so great......I get to talk to my brother Kory who is on a mission in Louisiana, Baton Rouge!!

I totally agree with you, my mom is my best friend too! I'm so glad that you got to have your mom come up and spend time with you and Daisy, I bet you guys had fun every minute. Boise sounds like a great place to live: street markets, rum cake, and doggie treats at the drive-up window!

Thanks for the kind words. I had a blast hanging out with you and my grandpuppy. I need to make another trip up there to hang out with my girls.
God needs to give every Mom a daughter, especially one like you. You bring so much joy to my life and I am glad that I have a best friend forever....my daughter.
Love, Mom
