Life without a gallbladder!

So this is a funny story. Days after my surgery i was looking through my mom's camera and stumbled accross this. Now i do not have any makeup on, i have horrible hair, oxygen, just not a pretty kodak moment. She laughed and told me when she initially took the picture i asked to see it. I guess i didn't like how i looked so i made her take another one. What? It must have been the drugs talking. Not in a million years would i have consented to a picture like this!! I think she took advantage of that! Ha!! :)

Surgery went good. The surgeon said my gallbladder was distorted. Hmmm. Don't exactly know what that entails, but i meet with him this friday for my post op appointment.

Mom came up to take care of me. For some reason, no matter how old you are, having mom around when you are sick, makes it seem all better. I felt really bad because i slept most of the time she was here. Wish i could have been able to spend more quality time with her because she is amazing.

Thanks to all the e-mails, cards, flowers, and phone calls of support! I have the greatest friends and family members. I even got my first fruit basket sent to me. My brother Kile and sister-in-law "KJ" sent me a fruit basket. It was yummy. Mom and i ate fruit salad all week. Kile is hilarious, he is always doing nice things like this for me. On the card he said he has always wanted to send someone a fruit basket. Glad i could be the receiver!!

What a ice tribute to your mom, especially after the picture she took-which was adorable, but unconsented. & I must say I've never gotten a fruit basket, nice call Kile. Love you Jes, glad you are healing well!

It was good to hear from you, I am sorry to hear you are under the weather, and hope you have a speedy recovery. I am glad you are enjoying Boise and are doing well, hopefully you can get back onto your marathon schedule, it was the most rewarding thing I have done since graduation! Take care and take it slow

i've been out of the loop since our computer crashed, I'm sorry to hear about the gallbladder. I know how much pain my mom was in before she had surgery, so my heart goes out to you. Hopefully now you're on the up-swing. Take care!

Gallbladder, who needs it anyway.

Yes, ohio accepts WREB--i told brett to only apply to schools that did, because i didn't care to retake boards! I'm kinda a brat! I just have to take Ohio's jurisprudence and appy for licensure, so hopefully it will be somewhat painless! How are ya feeling?

Hey stranger... Sorry to hear about your gallbladder, no fun at all! And I am bummed for you having to take a total step backwards in training for your marathon. Good on ya for having such a great goal. I need to get your email address. Call me sometime.

I hope everything is going great in your recovery! By the way, that is one of the best hopsital pictures I've seen, so don't be too hard on your mom...:) Things are going great here, I do love the office I work for, let's just cross our fingers that the pregnant hygienist that I replaced doesn't want to come back. And yes, life after Hygiene school is INCREDIBLE in everyway, i do not envy anyone who is still in school. Good luck getting back on your feet, you will be running in no time.
